Built in 1915, The Maryland Theatre is the anchor of the Arts & Entertainment District. The Maryland Theatre hosts nearly 300 events and performances annually for performances of concerts, dance recitals, films, comedians, orchestral performances, plays, student performances, and scholarship pageants. The Performing Arts Center offers amenities to performance attendees as well as various private and corporate event hosting spaces including a ballroom, cocktail lounge, and studio. Events hosted include weddings, parties, fundraisers, business seminars and conferences. The Maryland Theatre is a 501c3 nonprofit organization and a historic landmark, governed by a Board of Directors.
