Frida Kahlo: Picturing an Icon

June 14 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

A black-and-white portrait of Fundraiser-Frida with dark hair tied back, wearing earrings, a necklace, and a textured shawl. She faces the camera with a serious expression. The date "Oct. 16/1932" appears in the lower left corner.

Frida Kahlo: Picturing an Icon, opening June 14 and running through October 5, offers an intimate view of the celebrated artist’s life and consists of 115 images out of the 450 images and objects acquired in 2003 by Cuban-born Vicente Wolf, a New York City-based interior designer believed to be the owner of the largest known collection of personal and family photographs of Kahlo in private hands.
