Juneteenth Artist Spotlight

A colorful event banner features Juneteenth-themed artwork and artist Taurean Washington for a Juneteenth-Spotlight on June 19, 5–7 PM, at 34 S. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, hosted by the Washington County Arts Council.
 Taurean Washington was selected by the
 “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” Dr. Opal Lee,
 to create her iconic portrait.
 His Juneteenth painting was featured
 on the cover of Hood College Magazine,
 and the original is now owned by Dr. Lee herself.
Join us on Thursday, June 19th from 5:00PM – 7:00PM
 as Taurean debuts a new triptych titled “Halftime.”
 Comic books, prints, and T-shirts will be available 
 for purchase. Celebrate Juneteenth
 by supporting local art, representation,
 liberty, and freedom of expression!
